Introducing 'Suicide Cult Barber Shoppe', an unapologetically derivative barber beats LP from Abelisk. Taking inspiration from the various reverbed out sounds of vaporwave, this sophomore release of 2024 aims to deliver a consistently lo-fi and liminal soundscape. While maybe not a true barber beats release in the strictest sense of the term—whatever that means—'Suicide Cult Barber Shoppe' aims to take the core vibe of the subgenre and explore its variations across seven crunchy tracks.

Following on from February's dungeon synth LP 'Dreamscape Cartographic', 'Suicide Cult Barber Shoppe' continues the loosely connected series of long-form instrumental releases. This time opting to stay in more familiar territory for the project keeping a strong foot in the world of trip-hop/instrumental hip-hop drawing from jazz, dub, funk and folk music for characterful sample sources.

This series is set to continue in Q3/4 with an LP exploring ambient DnB.
